The fall of 1940 was exceptionally warm and pleasant. The blizzard that hit the Midwest on Armistice Day that year took everyone by surprise. Les Kouba is internationally known as one of the world’s foremost master painters of wildlife, and is recognized as the founder of the wildlife revival in the 1970’s, and as such, inspired many other wildlife artists.
